As this past Sunday morning dawned across the nation, newly returned to standard time, it was clear our pets did not get the message. Confused, distressed, or simply driven to the brink by hunger, America’s cats and dogs let us know, in no uncertain terms, that they would have preferred their meals at the usual time, thank you very much.
Here are some of the more illustrative examples we found of pets protesting the annual falling back of the clocks.
I command thee to feed me
Does anyone know how to explain daylight savings time to a dog bc it’s not going well over here pic.twitter.com/drbucOv5Dv

Trying to explain daylight savings time to my cat. Yes she has to wait another hour to eat now, but in 6 months she’ll get to eat an hour early.
She’s not impressed. pic.twitter.com/FzUwHqnQsL

Daylight Savings sucks for every pet parent in the US this morning. This starts the annual Battle of Wills, lasting about a week. Me vs Himself. Branson will lie in his food bowls, yowling cause he thinks it’s time to eat, but I can’t feed him yet.#CatsOfTwitter #DaylightSavings pic.twitter.com/Xs4ARu9qZC
